Distributor Data Manager

Location: Colchester, VT

We are seeking a Distributor Data Manager to join our SRS Team.  Our Supplier Services business is focused on moving data between distributors and suppliers in the beverage industry. This data is a driving force in marketing and supply chain planning and is vital to the business practices of our customers. This non-technical entry-level position is well-suited to an inquisitive self-starter willing to ask questions and work with little direct supervision. The Distributor Manager is responsible for monitoring a set of assigned distributor accounts to ensure the prompt and accurate reporting of data based on supplier guidelines.

RPG Software Developer

Location: Colchester, VT

We are seeking an innovative, customer focused, self-directed individual to join the VIP RPG Development Team.  VIP Software Developers work with our existing suite of software applications and are responsible for creating new programs, enhancing existing programs by adding features, coding interfaces and fixing software bugs.

Responsibilities

  • Learn how to install, use and set-up the various components of VIP Solution Packages and Software
  • Successfully understand VIP Software with the knowledge to install and train at VIP customer sites
  • Installation Includes:  Preparatory data conversion and hardware set-up
  • Training Includes:  On-site support and customer service to existing customers to include troubleshooting  issues, emphasizing training components, managing on-site software upgrades, and communicating with the Software Support Team as well as providing feedback to Development Teams

Systems Engineer

Location: Colchester, VT

VIP is looking for an IT Systems Engineer to help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our rapidly expanding infrastructure in Colchester, VT.  You will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering a mission critical 24x7 infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security on the VIP systems. Qualified systems engineers will have a background in IT, computer engineering, or systems engineering and analysis with 3 to 5 years experience.

The primary role will be the implementation and support of virtualized x86 systems, networking equipment, and other supporting IT infrastructure. These systems will support functions such as reverse proxies, web application servers, web service servers, NAS solutions, FTP servers, and other functions within our infrastructure. A focus of the role will be process automation to streamline our system builds and updates as well as performance monitoring and tuning on our infrastructure. 

Enterprise level skills and awareness are vital. Being very detailed oriented with an understanding and appreciation for change control and proper documentation needed.  Excellent project management and time management skills are required. This candidate will be expected to learn new technologies (both new to the candidate and new to VIP), and be able to troubleshoot unique challenges and explain the root cause and actions to the rest of the IT team.

Once a deep understanding of the VIP infrastructure is achieved, it is expected that the individual would assist in researching new tools and services, and would be able to run a deployment project from beta testing to full deployment.


Responsibilities

  • Build, deploy, and support all installed systems and infrastructure including x86-based servers, applications running on those servers, and the services the infrastructure provides.
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management and automation tools
  • Achieve automation through various methods such as Ansible, Nutanix Calm, and standard built in tools such as PowerShell & bash
  • Implement and support servers with functions such as reverse proxies running HAProxy, web application and web services servers running Tomcat
  • Work with 3rd party vendors to implement and maintain cloud based solutions such as Rapid7, Crowdstrike, Okta, Google, etc.
  • Implement and support enterprise networking technologies such as EIGRP routing, VLANS, and QoS, as well as typical access layer technologies such as wireless and switching technologies
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
  • Participate in the design and documentation of information and operational support systems
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
