Distributor Data Manager

Location: Colchester, VT

Job Description:

We are seeking a Distributor Data Manager to join our SRS Team.  Our Supplier Services business is focused on moving data between distributors and suppliers in the beverage industry. This data is a driving force in marketing and supply chain planning and is vital to the business practices of our customers. This non-technical entry-level position is well-suited to an inquisitive self-starter willing to ask questions and work with little direct supervision. The Distributor Manager is responsible for monitoring a set of assigned distributor accounts to ensure the prompt and accurate reporting of data based on supplier guidelines.

RPG Software Developer

Location: Colchester, VT

We are seeking an innovative, customer focused, self-directed individual to join the VIP RPG Development Team.  VIP Software Developers work with our existing suite of software applications and are responsible for creating new programs, enhancing existing programs by adding features, coding interfaces and fixing software bugs.

The successful candidate will have practical programming experience in RPG, knowledge of programming best practices, and have the ability to work in a high energy environment.  You will work with a team of programmers who improve the features and stability of existing applications.  You will also be responsible for assigned programming changes, as identified by our customers, which are related to minor enhancements, bug fixes and customization of software or interface (data extracts).

Other resonsibilites include:

  • Review request and clarify requirements with customer or service team
  • Estimate coding effort and approximate due date
  • Identify best programming language and code to satisfy requirements
  • Make coding changes in appropriate source controlled environments
  • Document programming changes and outline of testing protocol
  • Release code to QC for creation of distribution
  • Be available to support the coding changes as a Tier 3 resource to Customer Support

Requirements:

Warehouse Management Software Implementation Specialist

Location: Colchester, VT

VIP is seeking a Warehouse Management Software Implementation Specialist to join the Installation Team. You’ll have hands-on project management, direct relationships with existing and new customers, and the ability to enhance our growing software packages.

Responsibilities

  • Learn how to install, use and set-up the various components of VIP Solution Packages and Software
  • Successfully understand VIP Software with relationship to Warehouse Management
  • Installation includes: Preparatory data conversion, hardware set-up with process improvement focus
  • Training includes: on-site support during installation, as well as post-installation support with process improvement focus
  • Provide excellent support and customer service to existing customers to include trouble-shooting issues, emphasizing training components, managing on-site software upgrades, and communicating with Customer Support, as well as providing feedback to Development Teams

Account Manager

We are seeking a Supplier Account Manager to join our SRS Support Team.  The Supplier Services part of our business is focused on moving data between distributors and suppliers in the beverage industry.  This entry level role is focused on supporting our wine, beer, and spirits suppliers with our sales data collection services and assiting them with our reporting solutions.  SRS AMs work in a team setting but are responsible for their own individual list of accounts.   


Key Responsibilities:   

  • Establish a positive, professional and trustworthy relationship with our supplier customers and help them work towards efficient usage of our software
  • Help customers better understand the quality and reliability of our data and how it contributes towards their product's success  
  • Ensure that any customer concerns are addressed in a timely manner and directed to the appropriate resources

Systems Engineer

Location: Colchester, VT

Job Description

VIP is looking for a Systems Engineer to assist in the building, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our rapidly expanding infrastructure in Colchester, VT.  This person will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission-critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security on the VIP systems.  The primary resonsibility of this role will be the support of x86 hardware running Windows and Linux (mostly VM based), networking equipment (primarily Cisco), and other supporting applications within our infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure including x86-based servers, applications running on those servers, and the services the infrastructure provides.
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
  • Provide IT-based support to VIP employees
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
  • Participate in the design and documentation of information and operational support systems
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  • Additional responsibilities will include the support of reverse proxy servers (ie. HAProxy), web servers (ie. Tomcat), and other applications within our infrastructure.

IT Operations Support Technician

Location: Colchester, VT

Job Description

VIP is looking for an Operations Technician to join their IT Department.  This person will be the first response, triage, and Level 1 troubleshooting contact within IT Operations and Service Management.  The IT Operations Support Technician will diagnosis of root cause of an issue and perform the steps necessary to fully log the incident, including the troubleshooting steps taken and the resulting resolution.  When incident resolution is beyond the expertise of the technician, it will be their responsibility to effectively escalate to the appropriate technical area for Level 2 troubleshooting and resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnosis and troubleshooting of problems with computer systems – PC-Based & Apple, including hardware and software, email, network, smartphone, tablets and other peripheral equipment
  • Duplicate software problems reported by the end-users
  • Answer incoming requests in order to resolve issues immediately or to track issues in the Ticketing System to ensure a follow-up
  • Identify repeat requests and recommend solutions to reduce repetitive requests
  • Document all troubleshooting procedures and processes
  • Manipulate, analyze, and interpret data
  • Install new hardware including computers, printers, and other peripheral equipment while maintaining accurate hardware and software inventory
  • Assist the IT Manager with maintenance and upkeep of entire network
  • Understand enterprise antivirus software, provide updates and virus removal
  • Provide support relating to computer issues involving Microsoft’s applications and operating systems to end users by responding to telephone calls and email requests

Job Requirements

  • SQL development
