iOS Application Developer

Location: Colchester, VT

VIP is looking for a motivated individual to join our iOS development team to help create and maintain our suite of iOS applications, which complement our industry-leading software platforms. VIP's iOS applications are indispensable tools used by thousands of beverage industry employees everyday. If you have enjoyed a beer, soft drink, wine, or spirit lately there's a good chance one of our iOS applications was used in the journey from the supplier to your glass. 


As an iOS developer at VIP you will develop mission-critical iOS applications for the beverage industry using the latest Apple technologies and frameworks. Our native iOS applications are written in a combination of Swift and Objective-C and are built using the latest iOS SDK. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field

Systems Engineer

Location: Colchester, VT

Job Description

VIP is looking for a Systems Engineer to assist in the building, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our rapidly expanding infrastructure in Colchester, VT.  This person will be part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission-critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security on the VIP systems.  The primary responsibility of this role will be the support of x86 hardware running Windows and Linux (mostly VM based), networking equipment (primarily Cisco), and other supporting applications within our infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure including x86-based servers, applications running on those servers, and the services the infrastructure provides.
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
  • Provide IT-based support to VIP employees
  • Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
  • Participate in the design and documentation of information and operational support systems
  • Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  • Additional responsibilities will include the support of reverse proxy servers (ie. HAProxy), web servers (ie. Tomcat), and other applications within our infrastructure.

VIP is looking for an Accounting Software Support Specialist.  In this role, you will support customers using the VIP Route Accounting System with their accounting and financial reporting needs.  You will be assisting beverage distributors and soda bottlers across the country with interpreting accounting transactions and analyzing financial reports for accuracy. VIP is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to develop and maintain documentation and training materials for our expanding product line. Our goal is to help our customers use VIP products to their full potential by providing easy-to-use content. We deliver content in a variety of methods, including online Knowledge Bases, embedded help, job aids, quick references, release notes, short training videos, and eLearning modules.

Our tech writers work closely with product owners and development teams to track and understand product changes. They collaborate with support and implementation teams to write monthly release notes, keep existing content up to date, and develop new content. Writers also assist in developing articles for our newsletter and preparing content for conferences and regional trainings.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • An interest in learning the beverage industry encompassing beer, wine, spirits, and soft drinks.
